Sir William Lucas? You around?
Super-dorkish or not, I’m totally staying up tonight to watch. For the dress. And to bid adieu to my girlhood dreams of marrying Wills. I ain’t even that old, but goddamn he looks like Charles now and I can’t abide by such things.
“They had drawn back from many introductions, and still were perpetually having cards left by people of whom they knew nothing” -Persuasion.
The original I-don’t-know-you-but-maybe-we-can-be-Facebook-friends-anyway. Jane Austen was so hip.
i enjoy this muchly, thank you for submitting! (and sorry for all the lower-case nonsense, guys, i still can’t type. it’s interfering with portal. and summer. but mostly portal.)
so this happened today. i’ll be wearing a cast/not typing properly for a month. my gentleman friend is all bingley-ish right now, though, and I am rather amused.
I’m non-religious and celebrate Easter as Mini Egg Day, but for those of you who do…I hope it wasn’t like this.
I played the first Portal for the first time today and actually liked it. Enough to be downloading it right now, even!
…couldn’t help thinking this, though.
I’ll be honest with you guys…I am that friend. No regrets. I can’t sit long enough to watch the BBC version. Also, I love everything Joe Wright directs, the cinematography is great so it’s lovely to look at, and Macfayden > Firth for me. THERE I SAID IT AND I’M NOT SORRY.
…my follower count will probably drop precipitously now. Oh well. Honesty is the best policy, right?
Last thing: this was pulled from the generator page, so if it’s yours and you’d like credit, let me know.

Given that I play pianoforte very poorly, I hope I never find myself in this situation.
This was submitted by byadellemarie, too! Thank you! You made my day!

Jane Austen’s Fight Club
Not a meme, but someone just sent it to me and it feels appropriate for this blog.
Also, submissions would be super great this week, d00ds. It’s finals week and my head is currently filled with the history of women on the Canadian prairie, which is exactly as interesting as it sounds. (spoiler alert: life kinda sucked and then there was the Famous Five who got women the vote and then it continued to suck.)
